Dover Federal Board Member Honored
December 20, 2011 - Dover Federal Credit Union board member Michelle Mack-Williams has recently been named one of the recipients of the 2011 YMCA Adult Achiever Awards. The Adult Achiever Award was established to recognize Delaware's African-American leaders in business and industry. Ms. Mack-Williams, along with the other Adult Achiever and Youth Achiever awardees, was honored at the annual Black Achiever Awards on Thursday, December 8th. The event was held at the Chase Center on the Wilmington riverfront and featured CNN's Soledad O'Brien as the keynote speaker.
Ms. Mack-Williams, in addition to her role as a member of Dover Federal's Board of Directors, is a member of the Credit Union's Governance Committee. She holds a degree in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Business Administration at Argosy University. She works in clinical research at pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, where she is an active member of the AstraZeneca African-American Employee Network. In addition, Ms. Mack-Williams serves as a board member with Connecting Generations, an organization that serves the Delaware community by working to establish mentoring relationships between young people and adults.
