Dover Federal Employees Donate to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition
December 27, 2012 - Dover Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that it is donating funds to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
This year on International Credit Union Day (October 18th), Dover Federal encouraged its employees to participate in a day of giving at its corporate office and at local branches. Employees gave donations in honor of Charlene Payne, a long-time employee of Dover Federal. Dover Federal employees enthusiastically participated in the event, raising a total of $400.00 in donations.
"Dover Federal is proud to support the urgent, life-saving work of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition," said David Clendaniel, President and CEO of the credit union. "Its mission holds a special importance for the Dover Federal family this year, as we remember Charlene Payne. We want to do whatever we can to aid the Coalition in its efforts to facilitate the detection, treatment, and cure of this terrible disease."
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is a non-profit organization that strives to raise awareness of breast health issues in Delaware through outreach, education, and support to help facilitate early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
