What You'll Need

To open your new Dover Federal business account, please provide the following:

Identification

(Photo Driver’s License, Photo State ID, Photo Passport, Photo Military ID, or Photo Government ID)

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activity.

Business Documentation

Depending on your business entity type, you may need all of the bulleted items listed below.

  • If using a trade name, copy of the Registration of Trade Names/Fictitious Name Certificate/DBA
Partnership
  • Certificate of Formation
  • Partnership Agreement

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

A Business Share/Savings Account is opened first (as a Member of the Credit Union, you are a Share holder) with a minimum of $5. Your Member Service Representative will then proceed with the Business Checking Account opening. If you are the owner of the account, but want to have an authorized signer for an account, the authorized signers will need to provide their identification, as well, if not present, must be notarized. You will sign Signature Card(s) and Designation Authorization Agreement during the account opening process.
