Non-Profit Checking

Non-Profit Checking is a basic checking account designed for the special needs of small, limited-transaction non-profit organizations with low transaction volume. Benefits include no minimum balance requirement, free access to online banking, and the convenience and security of the MasterCard® Business Debit Card.

ATM Access

Dover Federal members have access to an extensive ATM network that includes 10 local Dover Federal locations as well as over 100 surcharge free ATMs in the nationwide Allpoint network.

A $2.50 surcharge will be charged for withdrawals or credit card cash advances made with a
NON-Dover Federal Credit Union card and cards not affiliated with the Allpoint network.

MasterMoney® Debit Card

Use Dover Federal's MasterMoney® Debit Card instead of writing checks. It is accepted worldwide at traditional or online merchants that display the MasterCard® logo. You may also use it to withdraw cash from any ATM that displays the MasterCard® logo. All transactions are deducted from your checking account and are detailed on your monthly statement. MasterCard® SecureCode™ puts you in control when shopping online because only you can approve purchases using your private SecureCode™. Your SecureCode™ enhances your MasterCard® account by protecting you against unauthorized use of your card when shopping online at participating online retailers.

How to Open a Business Account

What do I need to open a Business Account?

Identification (Photo Driver's License, Photo State ID, Photo Passport, Photo Military ID, or Photo Government ID). Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activity.

Depending on your business entity type, you may need all of the bulleted items listed below. We verify business license is on file with the State of Delaware:

Sole Proprietorship
  • EIN Assignment Letter

  • If using a trade name, copy of the Registration of Trade Names/Fictitious Name Certificate/DBA

  • Certificate of Formation

  • Partnership Agreement

  • EIN Assignment Letter

  • If using a trade name, copy of the Registration of Trade Names/Fictitious Name Certificate

Limited Liability Company (LLC)
  • Articles or Certificate of Formation

  • EIN Assignment Letter

  • Operating Agreement

  • If using a trade name, copy of the Registration of Trade Names/Fictitious Name Certificate

  • Articles of Incorporation

  • Bylaws

  • EIN Assignment Letter

Non-Profit: Leagues, Clubs, Organizations
  • Charter or Bylaws or Meeting Minutes stating instruction for account opening

  • EIN Assignment Letter

  1. A Business Share/Savings Account is opened first (as a Member of the Credit Union, you are a Share holder) with a minimum of $5. Your Member Service Representative will then proceed with the Business Checking Account opening.

  2. If you are the owner of the account, but want to have an authorized signer for an account, the authorized signers will need to provide their identification, as well, if not present, must be notarized.

  3. You will sign Signature Card(s) and Designation Authorization Agreement during the account opening process.
