Community Impact Day 2021

As usual, Dover Federal Credit Union closed our doors on the second Monday in October; however, this year our staff wasn't sleeping in or lounging on the couch. We were out serving our community as a team during our first annual Community Impact Day.

Dover Federal was on site at the Hope Center in New Castle, Delaware from 9AM to 7PM on October 11th volunteering in various capacities to make a difference and to help a community that we serve get there.

We were able to provide the following:

  • Financial workshops
  • Haircuts and manicures on site
  • A free meal crafted by Uncle John's BBQ food truck
  • Pumpkin decorating and bracelet making
  • Free snacks such as cotton candy, fresh popped popcorn, and a variety of beverages
  • Games such as cornhole, ring toss, and video games provided by Mobile Cloud Video Game Party
  • Move-out kits for guests moving on to permanent housing
  • A check to the Hope Center in the amount of $6,000


By most accounts, the event was a huge success and we plan to continue Community Impact Day into the future. We look forward to spending the day volunteering and helping our community in a big way again.
